• The MetaZooGene Symposium (Rediscovering pelagic biodiversity) was held in Gothenburg, Sweden, following the ICES 2019 Annual Science Conference.

• The second MetaZooGene working group meeting was held in San Diego, California, before the Ocean Sciences Meeting 2020.
• Another MetaZooGene Symposium for Early Career Scientists (New insights into biodiversity, biogeography, ecology, and evolution of marine zooplankton based on molecular approaches) was held in Dublin Ireland, in association with the ICES 2022 Annual Science Conference.
